advice input photo video imaging software

Hi, my computer decide to crash and crash since it extended warranty ran out last week. I probably going to have to reformat it and will lose my current software.
I had been using a Microsoft digital imaging pro edition 9 and Microsoft no longer makes any digital imaging programs like it. The dvd will not re-install the program.

I need to get one that I can edit photos crop,clone, re-size, use transparency, and would like one I could edit video also. My dad use the camcorder at one show but he left on the whole time and there would minutes of nothing but the dirt and ground on the video which he record and my camorder did not come with any editing software. I will end one that works with vista.
