When I was first learning - I used geocities (closed down now) it was supposed to be easy - it wasn't thrn I found Coffeecup software - it has both html (coding) and wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) ... that software was very beneficial for me klearning coding - after playing around and seeing the coding changes - i got it. Later on, I found bravenet http://www.bravenet.com/.... such an awesome place! Thier website builders are extremely easy - it takes you step by step throughout the whole process and has alot of integrated tools you can use as you gain more experience. Later on you can edit the pages however you want without using the website builder - I highly recommend it. You can start out using thier free service (allows double the homestead bandwidth) then if you like it registeer for a year (100.00) and get a free domain name (9.00 seperately) This link tells you more about the classic features and prices from free to paid http://www.bravenet.com/webhosting/hosting.php
You can use either classic with ftp(what I use) or the new drag and drop viviti: featured sites http://viviti.com/featured_sites

Then once you get the hang of it you can import any website layout you want and tweek it out in thier editors... I love my site - the problem I am having now is the layout I chose doesn't like firefox, dillo, galeon, epiphany, opera, iceweasel, seamonkey, konqueror or minefield........ you can find out how your site looks in different browsers using browser shots (free) http://browsershots.org/ just enter your sites url and select which browsers you want to test - it takes a little while but worth it

Well, after a bit more battling with the Homestead site did manage to finish page 1. Started a 2nd page and published it but can't seem to get to it unless under the edit mode. How does one link all their pages??? Thank you!!!!

The domain is www.circlekdachshunds.homestead.com

Create a button or add a button and give the botton a name. After you give it a name, if it is typed you have to highlight it and go up to "Link to" and your box will come down with your pages. GO to the page you want to link it to and hit select. Save and publish. If you have any questions you can call me later--my cell is dead..again  ..but you can call my cell in a bit and I will walk you through it. Once you get the hang of it, it is very easy.
