Hi everyone! Can you please check your avatars. I noticed there are a few avatars that are over the size limit. The size should be 120 pix by 120 pix and no larger. Sometimes when you load larger avatars it makes the screen go into the right column. If you have a big avatar, could you please reset it to a smaller size.

Thank you! :D

I did do 120 x 120 but I had to go to black and gray at 99 pixels to get it down to 6 KB or it wouldn't load at all

Hi Marla, sorry about that! :D

If you send me your photo to TheBrandx24@yahoo.com I would be delighted to set up your avatar in color for you. I don't know why it wouldn't allow your first attempt. My apologies!

We'll get you fixed up! :P

I will leave it its fine...its because the color adds too many KB's my photos must have something different..It won't post color because adding color puts me over my 6KB allowed with this site for posting avatars. Does that make sense???

Here's a site to shrink your photo for an avatar.
http://www.shrinkpictures.com/

Hey Brandy, can you make a sticky for this, and maybe photbucket in the Forum Support, then it will stay up top for easy finding for new members... just a thought.

Whats wrong with me shrinking my own photo...? My camera just gives out too many KB's(what ever KB's are) in each picture...I got the KB's down and there is my photo..I kinda like the grayscale look.

Marla,
I'm sorry, I didn't intend to mean I didn't like how you did your avatar! I like it in the greyscale. Just was putting that in for any new members who needed some help, since it's close to the top of the list of threads. I guess I should have just made a new post. You did a great job! :D

Hi Marla, I'm still not sure why it did that to you but you should be able to post your photos in color. Anyhow, I gave it a shot in one of my graphic programs and it worked. If you decide to change your image is below. If you have anymore problems please let me know. I think either color is fine. And that is definately a beautiful doxie in your avatar! :D

WOW I couldn't get the pixels low enough to mak the 6 KB like asked for in that section...My picture program didn't give me much option the 256 color verses the 16 million color was not good..grayscale and skrinking was all I could get....Now if I could take your photo which it won't let me I would switch....I'm not a photo bucket person..I know how to use it and I have an account but I don't like it for different reasons..Is that where you put the photo and resized it???If you could put it in my avatar that would be fine or the gray is fine...Thanks for your work...

Sure, will do that now Marla! Did you try to right click and save it to your computer? It should let you save it that way. :D

Well, this site is the ONLY way I could reduce. My own photo software did not work and was very frustrating as it works for everything else including all other forums.

Thanks for posting this as it was the only way I now have an avator here.

Again, thanks
Ruth
